Don't see a bidet much anymore. I am debating about ditching ours when we redo the bathroom.

No and I can honestly say its never been used by us! We inherited it when we bought the house. I do love my bath though its lovely and deep with the spa jets I can spend a long time in there!

We had one bathroom which cost around 4k similar size 3 years ago.. that was cheap materials as we knew we'd not be staying there too long. Just had a 5.5k bathroom fitted in new house - much nicer quality. We are home counties region.

Exactly how I feel. The existing bathroom was a relatively cheap job 17 years ago and I’ve never really been happy with it. My neighbours bathroom done by this company is stunning, tiling and finishing looks immaculate.

We are in the process of starting to get quotes for ours and I’m expecting circa £10k. My brother in law reckons £7k should see us as he’s in that game but lives too far away.

Last year we looked at getting a concrete based levelled and laid for a 10 x 8 greenhouse and quotes came in for excess of £2k so I’m bracing myself for this one.

We had a new bathroom last year. It was £5,000 all in. But this included a free standing bath and tap at £1200. This also included italian rectified floor and shower tiles.

Just had ours finished about a month ago. Complete strip out. Fully tiled floor and walls. New freestanding bath, wc, shower cubicle, new shower with rain head plus separate handheld attachment, floating unit with basin. Good quality taps, mirror with built in Bluetooth and lights. New radiator/towel rail. New downlighters and lights in floor either side of the bath. It’s a beautiful job, great workmanship. Cost about £8k all in. Small local business who specialise in bathrooms. No money up front. When job was completed I paid labour costs directly to each Trade and settled bill with suppliers. I suspect I could have got job a little bit cheaper if I had organised myself but I so delighted with end result it was definitely worth it. Based in Edinburgh.

Just use wet wipes instead (like I do), but please don’t flush them down the loo or Benny in the Thames will eat them (not even sure if Benny is still there).
