The cameras will be set to go off if they see someone pass the line on red. If you are out past the line when it turns red then you should be OK .

Ahh that’s what I thought happened as it would be wrong if you passed the line on green and then due to slower traffic in front of you that you are then penalised for making the left turn. I thought that was what the OP meant he was in a long line of traffic and the lights turned red (as they do change pretty quick ) and he had crossed the line. I really dislike the traffic lights there are just too many and change suddenly!
