At 30 days, ours was manic. I can see the advantage of staying on site, but I didn't want the extra cost of staying on site this time. Having said I'm not sure whats worse, having to almost plan 14 days as soon as FP are released, or having to plan one day at a time for 14 days
However the booking system is the same whether on site or off site, and for me I rarely had an issues. Website works really well and I found it quicker than using the app personally. There was a couple of hiccup moments, but refreshing the page seemed to fix anything that cropped up.

I would say try and use a laptop or desktop if possible, if not a tablet and all via a browser.
The app seems to be the most "glitchy" part of MDE, however it seems to be hit and miss regardles. We originally started at -60 days and on the iPhone which didn't go well. The app kept freezing and throwing me out so I used the Mac and all was great. Mine still aren't 100% accurate as somehow we have ended up with 8 FP's in AK all in one day but I know which rides we should have. Also managed to increase our family members according to MDE as we have bookings for 9 people on one day and there are only 3 of us. I would say that to maximise what you are likely to get, have the FP calendar open beforehand so you know what is available and what to aim for. |

Well, today was the day.
Overall went pretty well. Today the website was not working well at all (for me), very frequent timeouts and bad gateways, but the App worked flawlessly. Availability (60 days as on site) was very good considering it was Christmas. Got everything we wanted at,or very close to, the times we wanted. FOP only tried from our 3rd day in, but was fine that day and any other days I looked at, pretty much available at any time of the day. Slinky Dog looked ok also, but we're not really interested in that so was not watching too closely. So 12 days done in just under an hour.
