Just booked a week at this resort next Oct (2019) and am second guessing myself because it doesn’t seem that popular on here.
The new refurbs look amazing and should be done by then. Any thoughts?

Had one of the first refurbished rooms and it was ideal.

As s redort we were a bit unsure initially but really enjoyed it, so much so we’ve booked again for next year (albeit not our original booking, but that’s another story).

Good pool area, quick service area is nice & couple of decent bars, no issue with Disney Transport. All round no issues.

When you go, it will be the best moderate in wdw and will rival many delux resorts.

It is not popular because it is primarily aimed at adults and conventions.

I fall in the former category

We stayed there in Aug 2016 (me + 2 kids aged 10 & 6) on QSDP and had a great time. No complaints at all.

My favorite Moderate & with all the updates think it will eventually be up-classed as a deluxe - lot less Disney than the other hotels due to it being their main Convention Hotel but when we were there last there were two conventions on and we didn't really see anything of them. The Lake Restaurant looks lovely & cant wait to see the one at the top of the new Tower - will come and have a look at both in September next year (we at AKL then). Enjoy, its a beautiful place, especially loved our quiet pool and the little beach area near it.

We are not overly fussed about Disney theming. It's me and my 13-year-old son, so if there aren't so many small kids around, that would be ideal anyway.
Thanks for your thoughts.

We've stayed twice at CSR and really enjoyed it. My daughter thought the pool area was great, and I liked the walk around the lake.

We had booked to return in December but swapped as the main pool area is going to be closed. Not sure how the new tower will affect how busy the resort will ge as it adds over 500 rooms I think.

Does the new tower have its own pool does anyone know or will the guests all be using the main pool?
