Yeah definitely unpredictable! I am hoping the flight to New York (which is an 11:30am departure) will run as smooth as the others did.

5 mins this morning through security at T 2 but we did have the fast pass - it was that quick they even got a couple of presses on the green smily button

We flew out just over 2 weeks ago from terminal 2 and was through in about 20 minutes, this was to Cyprus though not USA.

We flew April to USA and that took about the same but I was selected for further screening and that took about 10 minutes just before getting on plane. they did take swabs etc but no real issues other than security people were somewhat abrupt if you did not know the procedure.

Just a bit of an update.
We arrived at the airport in plenty of time and it took around 30 min from taxi to bar. And was very smooth. The longest wait we had was getting our suitcases at MCO.

I flew from Terminal 1 on the 6th October. They have updated their security which means NO power in hand luggage. (which means eye shadow, blusher, power face foundation, baby formula etc) I just popped my eye shadow out of my hand luggage into my suitcase them it was straight through security. No problems at all.

Weird - I flew from T1 on Sunday (through in 5 mins), but there was no sign about powder and mine wasn’t taken out. I wonder if it was a trial or a special security alert ?
