Mobile Breakfast suggestions at AKL

Hi all

I’ve mangaged to take a lot of suggestions on board whilst booking my ADRs and I think I’ve got a great mix of places to eat dinner.

However my mother in law has asked me about breakfast. It’s not a meal I generally eat but it seems to be a big deal for her lol. So my question is around breakfast at the Animal Kingdom Lodge where we are staying. Will it be a case of using a QSDP credit or is there anything you can get on a snack credit?

She doesn’t want a massive breakfast and was really just looking at getting a bowl of cereal or something like that.

Any suggestions would be most welcome.

Hi Rickster,
Plenty of choice at The Mara for breakfast including lots of snack credit items 👍 must say I love the cheese danish!
Here is a link to the menu disneyworld.disney.go/en...ge/mara/menus/ - bakery items tend to be a snack credit for example.
Hope that helps a bit

Yes, easily sorted as above.
They also have snack size cereals already in disposable bowls so you can pick these up with additional milk( use up a drink option with a QS credit) the night, day before or stock up at some point.
If you want a nice breakfast with a meal credit I would always suggest the first morning when you all wake up early due to the time difference. Boma breakfast is superb or MK Crystal Palace is one of our favourites as you can get into MK early and get some peaceful pics. Or Tusker House in AK, same principle. In that area in AK there is also a good take out hatch for breakfast items if you want to do an early in MK. If not Starbucks is now a go to breakfast snack place.

There are cereals that are a snack credit as well as pastries. When I stayed there I had a bagel which was a snack credit.

Saana has a nice counter service selection at breakfast too, usually quite quiet with good views of the Animals
There is a small shuttle bus between the resorts if you don't want to walk
The Banana Bread and chocolate spread was very nice

Just to reiterate TwentyYears, if you have full DDP the buffet breakfast at Boma is beautiful. Unlike the dinner buffet, which is great but packed, the breakfast is relaxed and unlikely to be more than half full.
AKL has just about the best eating options at all levels. We're at BC next year, mainly because we want to be close to the F&W Festival, but I know I'll question why not AKL when we dine there!

The Mara is alright, I thought it felt a bit cheap considering how smart the rest of the hotel is. Breakfast is probably the poorest meal choice IMO although it all depends what you like to eat.

We ended up using 2 QS credits between the 4 of us and getting 6 snacks. They did a lovely fruit scone, nice yoghurts and other good pastries. We'd get a bottle of orange juice and a bottle of apple juice and split those and then coffee for me and DW in the refillables and DS x 2 would have hot chocolate. We tended to either eat outside (much nicer than indoors) or even at the bus stop on the way to the park.

Thank you for all of the helpful posts above. It sounds like she will be well catered for. I’m sure some mornings I’ll fancy a big breakfast so I’ll probably end up using my QSDP for that.

It’s my first trip so I’m very excited (less so about spending 2 weeks with my mother in law)
