Price rise since last weekend!

Feeling sad :-(

Persuaded hubby last weekend that we can stretch our holiday budget and fit in a family trip to Disney Paris next year.

Price it up, ridiculous prices and huge rises over the years but decided what we wanted. Needed to check time of work so didn’t book.

Go to book last night and the ‘discount’ has gone from 20% off to 15% which means it’s an extra £200 . Hubby says it’s too much. He won’t compromise and look at other hotels because he wants the plus meal plan. We’re very limited because of school holidays. ( he’s a teacher)

Now I just feel sad. I just want to go. Looked at all different websites and all more expensive than the quote with Walt Disney world holidays.

Any suggestions?

Look at other countries’ versions of the DLP website. You can use any.

Or wait for the next offer, there will be one.

Also look at arriving midweek as it’s cheaper.

When are you thinking of going? Try to avoid weekends and French and Spanish holidays if you can.

I would check the date that the offers are going to change on the other (foreign) websites. Sometimes they have different offer change dates. You might find something better arrives there for you. Though it might not include a dining plan. X

Yes, I did that... takes time to translate stuff but worked it out. Still more expensive. And yes tried mid week, standard rooms not available. We’re looking at feb half term.

Next offer maybe might be our best bet. Thank you x

We’ve found it so expensive for food on recent trips so food plan is a must for me. But helpful to wait to see if offers change. Thank you for your ideas. :-)

Feb half term is often very busy and can be wet and cold.

Many people like May half term (although next year, Thursday will be Ascension Day which is a public holiday).

Maybe early in the week during May half term?

Assume you are looking at Sequoia Lodge. Try the lodges which are cheaper than the main building and really only a few steps away.

Or try Cheyenne - the buffets are not bad, and you can use your vouchers in part payment at Plus restaurants.

We are staying at Cheyenne next visit and can’t wait!

Sometimes, if the offer is good enough, you can just add the dining plan and pay for it. Plus in that case, you'd get hotel breakfast. But the deal would need to be very good for that to work out.

I used the French 35% off plus free under 12s offer, then added the dining plan. (Standard as we stayed in Santa Fe, plus we were happy with that level. Though the niece chose Cape Cod, and for me and her the top up was less than €20 including me getting a large bottle of mineral water.) Doing that I still saved around £100 on the price offered on the UK website that included free half board. X

Thank you. I did wonder about prices to top up. We want to try blue lagoon that’s not called that anymore..Capt something and Ratatouille one as well as Sequioa and Newport bay restaurants. Might be better even paying for that many rather than current offer. More thinking for us tonight!

Thank you x

I think, though I'm not sure, that the standard voucher is worth €29, and the kid's worth €17. X

May half term is expensive and classed as high season.
Feb half term next year looks quite good with Star Wars and Pirates and Princesses both running.
The Cheyenne with full board still has -20% off and looks reasonable value, we normally stay at Sequioa but I would consider the Cheyenne on a deal like that.

Like SarryB said it might be worth checking the French deal, also France does not count the May half term as high season, so it may work out cheaper.

This year we found a good price during Easter but I've noticed that since we last booked back in January, everything now looks more expensive. That full board offer is about the best I've seen recently.
