2nd-6th January: when to book restaurants?
Hi all,
We are going Sequoia Lodge + Plus dining plan from 2nd-6th January, so still the very busy Christmas period I imagine. When would you recommend booking restaurants such as Captain Jack's and Chez Remy, and is there a quieter time of day? I'm imagining 2-5pm might be fairly quiet compared to 12-2 and 5-8? I'm a little worried, as I've paid (and it's non-refundable), but my wife is pregnant with our second, and smells/food are a little off-putting at the moment, so I'm apprehensive about booking the posh restaurants. On the flipside, we've paid for them already. |

You can book from 60 days prior. I would certainly book any character dining as soon as your window opens, there'll be less urgency on the others

You say there's less urgency, but on Wednesday when I was waiting for the bus to go back to the Eurostar, I started talking to a family who had tried to make standard reservations late on and couldn't get anywhere that they wanted.
So best bet would be to make the reservations, then adjust them if your plans change, if possible. I think with so many offers that include free dining, more and more people are making use of the restaurants, rather than counter service, making them busier. X |

l would do so as soon as you can. We go this coming weekend and I called to make reservations around four weeks ago only to find I really struggled booking those I wanted. Many only had 9:00pm or later reservations left. I managed to get some booked but struggled with one evening and will have to hope we can get a walk in somewhere

The booking window for advanced reservations opens 60 days before - you can call up to book from this time.
They do have a small number of reservations that they hold back for day guests/late availability bookings - so if the restaurant you want is not available when you call I would ask at the hotel concierge when you arrive as they may be able to fit you in. |
