Coming up soon - April 2019!

How does this look? Any suggestions welcome!

* We're staying offsite in a villa (allocated on arrival) and flying LGW - FLL (so a long drive after our flight - hence nothing planned for 1st evening).

* We have Disney Ultimate tickets & Universal tickets + KSC. Using FOLP when we stay at LRPR.

* Meals - I'm afraid no ADR's booked as funds just don't allow. We will take pack-ups into the parks, and eat 1 meal out per day.

Fri Pre-Travel day. I'm working until 3pm (DH has day off). After kids & I finish school, drive down to Gatwick. Stay overnight at Marriott Courtyard.
Sat - Day 1 - LGW to FLL direct flight. Drive FLL to Kissimmee area to Ocean Florida offices, then to villa.
Sun - Day 2 - Denny's or IHOP for breakfast - then MK (this is least recommended but we both feel that MK is where the magics at for a 1st visit).
Mon - Day 3 - MK again (early). Back to villa for pool time & meal
Tues - Day 4 - Typhoon Lagoon - get there for opening. Fantasia mini-golf after.
Wed - Day 5 - Kennedy Space Center - followed by trip to Cocoa Beach
Thurs - Day 6 - Check into Loews Royal Pacific Resort - Universal
Fri -Day 7 - Check out of LRPR - Islands of Adventure - back to villa eve
Sat - Day 8 - Volcano Bay - villa then shopping
Sun - Day 9 - Animal Kingdom
Mon - Day 10 - Epcot - then Boardwalk in afternoon - late lunch at ESPN to hopefully see Watford v Arsenal if its being shown! If not, DS & DH love anything sporty. If me & girls are bored, we can leave them & enjoy Boardwalk.
Tues Day 11 - Hollywood Studios
Wed - Day 12 - Chill & shopping day (Florida Mall - visit to Cheesecake Factory for lunch or dinner).
Thurs - Day 13 - Undecided - initially this was going to be a beach day, but we've now decided to visit the beach after KSC. We may let kids vote on their favourite park & re-visit. Not sure yet.
Fri - Day 14 - Epcot AM - back to villa to pack up & clean
Sat - Day 15 - Last breakfast out, then check out & drive to FLL (a 3/4 hr drive). Flight is 17.55pm to LGW

Look forward to your thoughts! Suggestions for day 13? Thx!

You will have a great time.

I am making these comments without knowing dates and without looking at the busy day guide so that would have to override whatever I say.

In general

Day 2. Personally not sure I would do mk on the bounce for two mornings.

If busy day guide allowed I would go to Epcot and do non-world showcase instead.

Day 4 - good to have down day here as this is when jetlag can kick in.
Day 5. This will be a very long day. Cocoa beach may be a step too far if getting up at 5am on D6. How old are kids? Tired ?

Day 6-7 these will be two very long days esp if checking into RPR by 7am on day 6. How will that work after v long day on D5?

D8. Good to have downish day after two very long days. How busy is V B on a Saturday?

Second week is much more chilled than first with park days etc. Is there scope to swap Kennedy here say instead of your chill day?
Volcano bay / Florida Mall and cheesecake factory all in similar area.

Day 13 / day 14. Revisit Epcot and mk these days but afternoon / evening to see any shows / fireworks etc. Spend mornings doing Wallmart shop for kids souvenirs (less than half the price of Disney) and packing while they pool. They will be tired for the flight so body clocks sorted and will go out with fireworks on last night?

If you have a slower day before you go to universal, or afterwards try and slot some time into go to Disney springs if you can. The kids will love the Lego store and shops etc.

As I said my comments are made in the absence of dates and busy day guide. I would just try and think about long days followed by quieter ones, and plenty of pool time.

Hit Walmart early so they can see price of souvenirs and 10 to buy shrapnel to get it out of their system. Then go back at end so they can buy proper souvenirs. Eg pencils rubbers, school bags stuff for friends etc. Otherwise likely to want to buy stuff in the parks which is expensive !

If you have all your fastpasss booked just ignore me about swapping days, except for Epcot last day - aim for afternoon not morning.

Edited at 01:36 AM.

I would not do IHOP or Dennys at all, but if you must DO not do them on sunday morning. they will be packed from breakfast and church goers and it will eat out of the nice quiet MK morning.

We vacationed with 3 kids and no matter where we went had breakfast at our accommodation-much less expensive and more relaxed.

My kids also understood we did not order soft drinks-they are expensive and have no nutritional value. Also think about doing take out-you can easily share meals and there sre always hot bars at the Supermarket. Pick up a roast chicken and some sald (add chips, potato salad etc).

Also kids don't need park snacks. If they must experience them, choose one a day for the family to share.

And think about giving the kids their own spending money/allowance. Those gift shops at the end of each attraction are tempting. My kids were allowed to choose a sweatshirt or tee shirt and perhaps a dressier shirt with a small logo. It gave them something to shop for and it got use back home. Most things in the gift shops are expensive junk.

If you have no firm plans then are you going to still book fast passes, I would really recommend it to save some time queuing

I'm not sure I'd attempt the beach after KSC its a long day on its own. I don't think I'd dedicate a whole day to it at all- I'd be far more likely to go back to a Disney park.

Try and get to a least one or two fireworks esp MK.

Be careful with the timing of Mini golf- its only free/included up to early afternoon Blizzard beach is right next to winter-land/summer land mini golf - they may be an easier combination. We've never done the mini golf- I think we can do that anywhere we tend to combine TL with an evening with a few fast passes then fireworks at one of the parks.

Personally with only 14 days to do Disney, KSC and universal- I would not be dedicating a day to shopping- I'd be back in the parks that evening.

Both your Epcot days are mornings- world showcase doesn't open until 11am- so if you want to explore you may need to stay a little later.

As others have said- book fast passes for all unassigned days/ evenings where there is a chance you will go into the parks.

Did you know there is to be confirmed launch of the falcon heavy rocket from the KSC on 7 april - might be worth changing your plans around if you are really interested - though no gurantee of the date at this stage.

When we went a few years ago, we did the beach after Kennedy and it worked fine for us. We left Kennedy later than expected as really enjoying ourselves (maybe around 5), then the kids had just over an hour jumping in the waves near the pier and had a great time. But we aren’t really sit around and sunbathe all day at the beach people though! Dinner at Longhorns after was fab too! So I think both is possible as long as you don’t want to spend hours at the beach!
