Mobile Possible hotel change

Ive currently booked 14 nights b & b at ramada plaza inc flights for £1540 for my then 4yr old son for 14th jan 2020 for 2wks, im wondering now do i keep this or swap it to a disney hotel when free dining comes out next month? Would it be better cost wise to be onsite rather than off if having a meal plan included? And also would it be better regarding disney park tickets too as i assume they are included for staying at a disney hotel?

If you have already booked it may be that you have to cancel then rebook as not all companies will let you change to get the dining. Tickets are not included with Disney hotels, you still have to pay for them at the prevailing rate. You only get free dining if you book the hotel and tickets at the same time from the same supplier.

Whether it’s cheaper is debatable. It depends whether you would hire a car, how much you eat and how many people are in the room. It’s certainly more convenient for the Disney parks and helps to know food is pre-paid. Tickets are not included with a Disney hotel like they are at Disneyland Paris but you need to buy them as part of your package to qualify for free dining. They won’t necessarily be any cheaper than anywhere else.

I wont be hiring a car when over as its just my son and i and i wouldnt feel comfortable driving in a different country as im a relatively new driver.
Hmm so maybe its best to stick with what i have already booked then. I suppose its not all bad as i have breakfast at our hotel and we can get a snack to share for lunch and go somewhere for dinner when hungry
I stayed in DLH when in paris and it was pretty expensive but florida is very expensive for disney when ive looked

If you can stretch to an onsite Disney hotels, then I would certainly consider it. With a young child, you'll find it will make your holiday so much easier with regular buses to all parks. It it makes it so easy to go out for a few hours in the morning, then back to your resort for pool/rest time in the afternoon, before maybe heading out again. It also gives you flexibility if your son gets tired or wants a change of scenery without worrying when the next off-site hotel shuttle is it paying for Uber. Onsite is just so easy. From a cost perspective, a value resort may suit you better and that usually comes with free breakfast. However, that's actually a free quick service credit that can be used at any quick service restaurant in the parks, resorts and Disney Springs for any meal. If you took cereal with you for breakfast, you could easily share an adult meal at lunch and dinner and have the majority of your food covered. You can just pay for extra sides and snacks if you need them.
It's not a cheap holiday, but it is a great holiday and staying onsite just makes it so much better and easier IMO

Staying at Disney would definitely be easier but it’ll be significantly more expensive than what you’re paying.
