I Squeezed one out, so we Squeezed one in. October 2018. Day 4 - Magic Kingdom & MNSSHP.

I squeezed one out, so we squeezed one in.
Day 4.
Monday 8th October 2018.
Magic Kingdom & MNSSHP.

Day 3 - Animal Kingdom HERE.

Sorry it’s taken so long to get this day posted but It is super long with lots of pictures, hope you enjoy...

I woke up around 3am and decided to check the MDE app to see if I could get a later Chef Mickeys ADR, luckily there was one for 9am so I scooped it up, text the gang to say we didn’t have to be up as early, change the alarm to 6:30 and went back to sleep.
Woke up with the alarm and gave Emilia her milk, also checked everyone else was up and would be ready to get the bus at 7:30. No coffee run this morning as we were saving ourselves for Chef Mickeys. We all met at the bus stop in time for the 7:30 MK bus, could tell it was going to be a hot day today. Nice quiet ride to MK with it being so early. As it was a MNSSHP day we had got some light up Mickey head pumpkins to pimp up the pram with. She was very happy about this and spent the rest of the day kicking them.

We arrived at MK with plenty of time to get round to the contemporary for our ADR, so we had a nice slow stroll around chatting about the day. We had a little wander around the contemporary and all agreed it is very dated but would be a nice place to stay being so close to MK. We went to check in at CM and were given a buzzer as we were a bit early. We grabbed our picture with the Mickey statue then went to find a seat.

Megan and CJ went for a look in the shops and a look around, the buzzer went off whilst they were exploring but we knew they would find us so we headed in and grabbed our table, drooling at all the food as we passed. The characters had just started coming around again so we decided to wait for food until we had met them. We met goofy, Donald & Pluto first, they were all amazing. Emilia loved them, especially Pluto’s whiskers, Donald wasn’t happy that she had Mickey on her top.

There was a break before Mickey and Minnie can round so we were finally free to go and grab ALL THE FOOD. We all went a bit crazy and got loads. OMG MICKEY WAFFLES, BACON & MAPLE SYRUP 😍🥰😍, Megan found a new love for tater tots, to the point where she ate too many and put herself off them ha!

The staff were amazing, we never had an empty drink at our table, all sticking with OJ and coffee this morning. 2 CMs fell in love with Emilia and kept coming over to talk to her (they did think she was a boy at first though &#128584 they even noticed her outfit change later on. At some point the napkin song came on, no idea what this is actually called but we all loved it! Mickey and Minnie followed soon after and Emilia was even more in love even giving them kisses on their noses.

At some point after this we were given 2 free cupcakes as an engagement congratulations and the napkin song was on again queue another dance with Donald, it was really quiet in our section by this point so he spent ages at our table dancing with us all.

We all loved Chef Mickeys, there was plenty of food to choose from and it was all very well stocked, we didn’t have to wait at all for anything and there was always plenty of CMs around to ask if you needed any help. We never felt rushed, even when they started bringing the next lot in we didn’t once get the feeling they needed us to move on and we all loved meeting the Fab 5 (finally). So all in all our Chef Mickeys experience was fantastic and we are planning on paying OOP next time we’re in Florida as we loved it that much, none of us could understand why it gets so many bad reviews. We had a quick loo break where we changed Emilia in to her Tiki room outfit, it became a bit of a running joke that Emilia would love the tiki room as none of us are fans but we never actually got around to it this time 🙈. We were in CM for a good 2 hours and Emilia was ready for a sleep now so we decided to get the monorail over to MK rather than walking, looking back now walking probably would of been better to burn off some of the food 😂, we went through back check in the hotel before loading on to the monorail, Emilia fell asleep as soon as we boarded, you can keep prams up on the monorail which is a lot easier when you have a sleepy baby. We arrived at MK around 11:30am and slowly walked up Main St, stopping for a few PP pictures along the way.

Mickeys royal friendship faire started so we stopped to watch, much to Aidan’s delight, Emilia woke up towards the end and seemed to be enjoying watching everyone dance and sing.

Little mermaid was showing a 20 minute wait and we were all in need of some air con now so we joined the queue, we probably did wait the whole 20 minutes this time but we were all having fun entertaining the baby so it passed in no time.

The gals had a FP booked for Enchanted tales with Belle next and the guys were off to use there FP on splash mountain, we got Emilia in to the papoose and headed in being the last group let in. CJ is beauty and the beast obsessed so was so excited and was wearing her B&tB dress and Mrs Potts bag (both of which were Depop bargains). We all loved the attraction, at the end where all the kiddies/guards are getting their picture with Belle a cast member came and grabbed CJ as he had spotted her dress and was obsessed, he made her hide her Mrs Potts bag so she could surprise Belle, it was so lovely and CJ was like a kid at Christmas.

We met back up with the guys, who had enjoyed splash, outside 7DMT as we had a FP for that opening. We were all so glad to get in some aircon now as it was sweltering and all enjoyed the ride once again.

We had a while to wait until our Be Our Guest ADR time so went and grabbed a seat at the side of Gaston’s tavern so we could feed Emilia, it was so hot now so we were all glad to have a little chill, Gaynor went and grabbed some ice water from Gaston’s which they just had out in trays as you walked in. We sat here for a while before getting Emilia changed into her B&tB skirt and personalised vest then had a few pictures outside Gaston’s.

On our walk around to BoG Emilia fell asleep in the pram so we went to ask at check in if we were okay to just take the pram in which wasn’t a problem, we had booked a late lunch reservation with us having a big brekki this morning. We were all really looking forwards to BoG and had pre ordered our food/drinks months in advance.

When went to check in and the lady confirmed our order and asked for ID off us all as we had all gone for an alcoholic drink, she then took all the QS credits off CJ band rather than asking if we wanted to split the bill. We hadn’t really been paying attention and thought we would be paying at the end like usual so didn’t realise this had happened until the next day, it’s not a major issue just a little annoying. We noticed the queue for walk up tables which was massive. We decided to sit in the ball room and had plenty of tables to choose from, it was still busy inside but wasn’t heaving. Our drinks were brought out and we were ID’d again, none of the drinks were that good, we had 4 x sangria which was vinegary, 1 x red wine which wasn’t good at all and 1 x beer which was warm. Our food came out not long after and we were all a little disappointed again ☹️ it was all okay just not as amazing as we thought it was going to be. We had carved turkey sandwich, Braised Pork (Coq Au Vin Style), Croque Monsieur & Quinoa Salad.

Whilst we were eating a lady came over and asked to see out ID again, I know the law is much stricter in American than the UK but it was getting a bit annoying now especially as we were eating, turns out she was trying to give us someone else’s drinks. CJ really wanted to try the Grey Stuff so we sat waiting for a while for someone to come over to our table, we finally managed to catch a CMs eye and she told us we were too late as they had now started changing over to the dinner service so we wouldn’t be able to get anything else, so over all our BoG Experience wasn’t that good, we all loved being in the beasts castle and thought the decor was amazing but the food, drinks and service were all disappointing. Emilia has woken up as we were waiting so G&B took her for a look around the castle.

We wandered out of the castle taking pics along the way and it started to rain a lil bit, we were kind of glad for this as it meant it cools down a little, bit on our way back to Main St. the heavens opened for one of Florida’s famous down pours, we all hopped in to the closest shop which was the Christmas shop, we were probably stood in there for a good 15 minutes along with 50 other people waiting for it to let up a little. As we were staying for MNSSHP we decided to run across to the toilets by Crystal Palace to get changed and arranged to meet up with the others in the emporium.

We all changed into our Sanderson sisters inspired outfits, by that I mean we had a T-shirt with a Hocus Pocus saying on and bows 😂 we had wanted to make a little effort for the party. Once ready we headed towards the emporium but the heavens opened once again so we ran into Casey’s and made our way through. We went to grab our party bands and then had a few pictures before saying good bye to the rest of the gang, they managed to make it to the bus stop before the other downpour struck.

The park was still officially open but as we had our bands we could go and collect our candy bags and maps.

It started to rain again, the worst of the 3 this time so we ran into tomorrow land to hide and finally found the purple wall!

We’ve become a bit obsessed with the purple wall because of Instagram but on all out visits have never actually noticed it… we have walked past this spot so many times and had no idea this was where the purple wall was, we took a couple of pictures and then decided we should just embrace the rain and headed to Space Mountain. I know these downpours are quite common in Florida so you’d think the park would be more suited to them but there was flooding all over Tomorrowland, hugeee puddles! Space Mountain was getting a party makeover so we wanted to ride now and then we could compare once it was in party mode, I feel like we had a FP for this as I can’t remember us waiting long at all.

The Teacups were also getting a party make over so we headed for those next, probably waited about 10 minutes. We walked towards big top souvenirs and noticed the Barnstormer was just opening back up and there was no one waiting so we ran right to the front, first time in all 4 visits we have ridden this, we all really enjoyed it but glad we didn’t have to wait as it was over within 3 seconds, CJ also got a wet bottom which we thought was hilarious.

We popped in to Big Top Souvenirs to have a look at all the goodies but didn’t get anything. Dumbo was showing a 5 minute wait so we joined the queue, love the kiddies bit in there. We then walked back over towards Space Mountain but decided to go on the people mover first, it was so good seeing everyone dressed in there Halloween costumes, some people had gone all out, we loved guessing who everyone was dressed as.

We saw Space had no wait time so decided to ride again, we noticed that the CMs had started checking for people’s party bands now and even saw them turn a group away who didn’t have them, we were all feeling the air con a lot more now thanks to the rain ha! When we exited the trick or treat spot in Tomorrowland was about to open, signalling that the party was now officially in swing, me and Meg started walking to join the queue but CJ was already one step ahead of us at the front of the queue so we joined her and hit up our first Trick or Treat spot of the night.
We headed to Starbucks next for a coffee, which we ordered using our Sanderson sisters names which the CM loved.

Our tops were from a UK company called Rock Paper Sister who do some awesome really original Disney Tees along with other things! Our tops read ‘Aren’t you broads a little old to be trick or treating’ we had so many cast members commenting on them telling us you are never too old to trick-or-treat! We stopped for some pictures on Main St and checked out more costumes, we saw a lot of family’s dresses as the incredible 😍. Magic Kingdom is a super happy place anyway but during the party there was just an extra buzz of excitement, you could tell the cast members really enjoyed working the parties!

We didn’t really have a plan of what we wanted to do during the party so decided we would head into Adventureland to start with and just work our way round from there seeing where the night took us. Jane and Turk from Tarzan were out and had about 5 people waiting so we joined the queue, such a fun character meet, all having a chat with Jane about England and how Turk is a nice gorilla not a scary one.

We hit up all the trick or treat spots along the way to BTM, we made friends with a little American girl in one queue who was just adorable, she was dressed as Belle and had a pretend snake which she was scaring everyone with, too cute. We saw one couple dressed as Carl and Ellie form UP who looked so good! If we ever get there again at Halloween we are definitely dressing up properly! They were being very generous with the candy so we were already on to our second bags each. We rode BTM and Splash waiting no more than 10 minutes for either of them, they were both so much fun; there was a really party atmosphere around.

We did the trick or treat spot by BTM a couple of times and ended up with so much candy before walking over to fantasyland, the view over to the castle from the bridge was so eerie, but looked amazing, it was so weird seeing the park like that. We rode It’s a small world as CJ has never done it and we all know it’s a must 😂 this was probably one of the longest queues of the night, about 20 minutes.

We were all glad for the little rest and sit down, CJ found the ride a little creepy. We did a bit more trick or treating before heading back to the teacups, the trick or treat spot in Philharmagic was really good as they were playing old short Disney movies in there so you could stop and sit for a bit if needed. We waited about 10 minutes for the teacups which were now in party mode meaning there was flashing lights and music, it was fun but just basically still the teacups.

Then it was time for Space again, think we had about a 20 minute wait for this but it was so worth it, they had turned out all the lights so you were riding completely in the dark whilst they blasted rock music and it was SO GOOD, we wished we could rode again but the queue was growing and it was getting close to Hallowishes starting, we went and found a spot right in the middle of the hub head on to the castle, only having to wait about 10 minutes until they started.

It was AMAZING we all loved it, especially being so close to the castle as we were right in the middle of everything. Once they were over we headed back to Main St bakery for coffees and CJ got the special Halloween cheesecake (pumpkin flavoured) which was good but a little weird. Megan and I shared at an ice cream cookie sandwich which was amazing, the cookie was so soft and chewy - we should have got one each. We used snack credits for all the bits we bought tonight.

The Hocus Pocus show was showing again soon which we all wanted to watch but by this point I was just too tired and my feet were hurting so I left the gals to watch and I wandered to the top of Main St to grab a seat. Megan and CJ really enjoyed the show and looking back now I should have just manned up and stayed but oh well. We did debating stopping for the parade but we had all hit the wall by now and just needed our beds. I know a lot of people say that is the best part of the party but we felt like we had really made the most of our night (just off candy!)

With us only being in Florida for a week we knew staying out any later would ruin our next day so this just means we have to go back again around Halloween for longer then we can stay for the parade next time J We headed to the bus stop and not much happened from here, to be honest none of us can really remember the journey home as we were all knackered. I sent my candy back with Megan and CJ so they could get a pic of it all, we had so much and hadn’t actually even tried to get loads. In bed fast asleep as soon as our heads hit the pillows. We all really enjoyed the party, it is quite costly at £80 each but our reasoning was we may never get back to Florida ta that time of year so had to experience it at least once! The park is considerably quiet than a usual day so we managed to get through a lot of the rides with no rush and just enjoying the atmosphere. We were also eating/giving out all our candy until Christmas time!

The others had had a nice chilled out evening at the hotel, they all grabbed a QS meal from the food court and G&B had taken Emilia for a walk around the hotel so Aidan could get a few bits done in the room. They hadn’t bothered with the pool with the weather being so hit and miss. There was a big NFL game on tonight which Aidan decided to watch and is now obsessed with, he’s been converted into an eagles fan, yay 🙄.
