Cabana Bay or Endless Summer?

Hi,

I'm pricing up 10 nights in August 2020. Endless Summer is coming out at £670 for a standard room or £992 for a 2-bed suite (tempting!), and Cabana Bay standard room is £972.

This is an additional 'budget' trip so I'm aiming to keep the price as low as possible, so *should* go for the standard ES room - which I may well do, as it seems to be a great price for a lovely-looking brand new resort. I'm also toying with the idea of the standard room but adding a few more days, e.g. 3, with the 'saving'. (But also think 10 days doing predominantly Universal might be just about right?).

Does anyone have any compelling reason as to why I should choose Cabana Bay over Endless Summer? Obviously ES is a bit of an unknown as it's not yet open, and Cabana Bay gets great reviews and looks amazing. Is it walkable to VB too?

Think I'm going to decide and book today, as I'm happy with these prices - or does anyone have any advice as to a better time to hold off and book?

Thank you Dibbers!

Yes CB is walkable (has its own path and entrance to VB
We are doing Endless Summer though for 5 nights (split stay) it looks really nice and only doing 1 or 2 visits to VB. Was the 2 bed suite that swung it for us😄👍

Yes, it's so tempting! And I expect the parks transport will be good from the hotel. The 2-bed suites at Cabana Bay are much more expensive, I'm wondering if they'll put the price up eventually at ES..? Just can't decide between standard and saving a few hundred ££ or going for the 2-bed!

They probably will put up the price once it has been open for a few months. The convenience of VB looks fab for Cabana Bay as bussing back in swimwear (which is what most people where doing when we stayed at HRH last year) whereas CB customers simply walk down their footpath and into their hotel.
If you are not doing VB much though, not really a factor.
I really like the 2 bed suite and ‘picnic table’/fridge etc in the room at ES where we would be able to eat. 👍

We stayed at Royal Pacific last time so had to get the bus from VB and it didn't bother us, we'd probably only visit 2 or 3 times at most. Is there no table area with the standard room? We'd likely be breakfasting in the room, so a table would be useful.

Not sure but I think the picnic table is located in the second 2 bed bedroom (which is bigger) so assume this and the kitchenette is not in the standard room?- not sure really.

I've decided on the standard room at ES - cheapest option, and I'm already talking myself into using the saving to buy MNSSHP tickets!

Good choice with ES, it looks lovely. I’ll post when we have stayed, looks like we will be there before you.
Very excited😄
