I got bitten at the pool at CBR last year at the end of our trip and it went horrid. Was at A & E as soon as I got home as it was infected. That is the first time I have been bitten in Florida for a few years though. I think they were spraying a lot on our previous trips because of the Zika fear. I will wear some repellant this year as insects seem to love me here and on other holidays.

Thanks everyone - I think I will play it safe and get some bands or something similar - liking the peppermint oil idea though

I seem prone to being bitten and always use it, the best thing I’ve found is the skin so soft spray from Avon it’s amazing, highly recommend it

I’m a bug and spider magnet! Don’t know why! However, I’ve never been bitten in WDW. I was nibbled by what looked like a bit of ash while in Celebration 10 years ago. I still have the 3 little lumps on my foot. Don’t know what it was and I’m waiting for them to hatch!

We’re 1st timers staying at CBR in October, are insect bites a problem there? We’ve only stayed at All Stars before and never had a problem.
If so any repellent recommendations?
Thanks in advance.

I use max strength DEET now as I suffered so badly on my honeymoon at WDW (yes sadly, my honeymoon!) that I nearly sent myself to hospital as I had over 30 swollen/blistered bites all over my legs. this was before the whole Zika scare and I couldn't find any spray in the whole of WDW except for a tiny can in Animal Kingdom!
