getting too big for maclaren Major what next ?

My daughter was a prem with a heart condition and JDM among other issues, shes 10 now and is outgrowing her major buggy, but doesnt need a full wheelchair as we only use it when she shaving bad days or flare ups or long days out.

What did you get after your kids outgrew the Major?
any reccomendations, shes got a new refferal to wheelchair services.

It’s a long time ago now but my DS went from a Major to a wheelchair. There are some really colourful small wheelchairs nowadays that you can add all sorts of things to to jazz it up. If she’s got a referral use it so she’s got something for when she needs it.

Yes a wheelchair is the best option. My son has a wheelchair and I also ordered a large pushchair for dog walking but the pushchair with his weight ( he only weighs 40kg at 17) is so heavy I just use the wheelchair. Total waste of £1800 😖

On a slightly different note, DD doesn’t use her major buggy at all now, but not sure whether to take on next trip in Feb, she does struggle after long flights and also in heat, she is 9 but I don’t really want hassle of hiring a wheelchair on a few odd days. I think she would be ok, although maybe a little tall, 34kgs, not sure of weight limit on major?

Delchion Delta is a SEN buggy which is fantastic for children who are too big for standard pushchairs etc. Downside is the price £2k

We moved from the major buggy to a hoggi zip.

My DD (now 18) we took Major buggy on holiday until she was 10. I went by weight, ie. As long as it pushed smoothly & she wasn't to heavy it saved getting a wheelchair, as she didn't need it all the time. We then got a small seat Karma Ergo Lite from wheelchair services, lightweight & folded easily for travel right up until now.
