Underwater camera recommendations
Hi,
I know this has been asked a million times but... What are your recommendations for go pro style cameras that can be used underwater? I've been using a Kodak PlaySport for years (which was really good) but it's finally conked out! I'm not wanting to spend loads, it's mainly for waterpark photo's/video because we won't have memory maker this year. Thanks in advance!

The wife has just bought me a GoPro Hero5 Black.
Picture quality is very good, and easy to use. It’s supposedly waterproof to 10m without a case, this will be tested at Discovery Cove in August. |

We've just purchased a CamPark Action Camera with a cool little waterproof case and straps etc. Works well above and below water from what I can see so far. I'll be reporting on my trippie when we get back in August as to how good this is for filming rides and water parks.

Another vote for the Hero5 Black. We bought ourselves one last year and will put it to the test next month at all the water parks and DC

One of my friends recommended the GoXtreme Endurance Action Camera. She used it when she went snorkeling in the Caribbean and the photos are brilliant. I've got one from Argos and am going to use it in Discovery Cove and Typhoon Lagoon. I might even use it when I'm splashing about in the POFQ pool Here's a link to the Argos page for it: argos/product/5537475

Try this. And read the customer reviews for tips on effective waterproof case prep. For the money its hard to beat. My granddaughter has used it to great effect.

the SJCAM SJ4000 is a great gopro knockoff. i have three. they come with the waterproof housing and a bunch of accessories too. search this forum for other discussions about it, as well as youtube for "sj4000 vs gopro" side by side comparisons.
amazon/SJCAM-Water...c00d0f169394d9 the wifi model is about £15 more. just make sure you get a genuine sjcam branded sj4000, as theres a lot of cheap/poor quality knockoffs of the original |
