Eat out! Usually we all congregate at DS house but this year the pub next door is doing a buffet lunch which the eight of us are partaking of.
Boxing Day we are doing a Mexican Street food lunch for everybody with a pinata instead of crackers. Really looking forward to it.

I cook the turkey crown on Christmas Eve along with a honey glazed ham. I also peel potatoes for mash and roasties, and carrots and parsnip mix, the day before. All sitting in water in saucepans ready to switch on. Really saves time on the day

I also cook the turkey on Christmas eve and peel all the veg and set the table. I made 9 dozen mince pies last week and get them out of the freezer when I need them. I've been using tin foil trays for the turkey and roasties for the last couple of years. We have all the family here Christmas eve evening for a finger buffet and everything is on tin foil trays and its paper xmas plates. Saves on the washing up.

Phil Vickery suggested cooking most the day/night before. My sister cooked most of the veg the night before last year and just reheated. she said it was much less stressful. I plan to do the same this year x

Def get as much ready the night before as poss!
No reason why all veg can't be par boiled them finished off. My in laws pre cook and slice the turkey and actually serve cold. By the time the gravy is on, you wouldn't know any different! I've pre boiled my roasts, tossed in oil and put in fridge before now. You could even part roast them and pop them back in to crisp up.

Do you mean prevents reheating for other meals?
You don't necessarily need to reheat it all for Christmas Day. My in laws serve it cold on Christmas day and you honestly would never know with the gravy on!
