When we booked Thomas Cook last autumn, it was quite a bit cheaper for us to fly MAN-MCO on WEDNESDAY 17th July 2019, than for us to fly the following Friday or Saturday.

Edited at 08:56 PM. Reason: forgot to say day of the week!

We've flown most days of the week. It's supply and demand for pricing. Midweek is "usually" cheaper, but we've been on Saturday more than once because it was the cheapest option. We always book 3 weeks leave to cover flexibility and then once we've got flights booked trim days off the leave. Having once been faffing about in the late night supermarket the night before, and then up at 5 for the flight, I realised the benefit of the times when we had the day off work the day before we fly, so now I book this if appropriate. I then also book at least the day after we land so I have 48 hours minimum before returning to work. I once went back the morning after we got home and it was horrible trying to catch up when you can't function.

This year we're going on a Monday, so we have the weekend to get sorted, and the Wednesday booked off.
