Connecting flight at Heathrow

Hi all

We are flying from Manchester to Heathrow then onto JFK and was wondering if anyone had done this connection and can advise on if its pretty straight forward and easy to do?

Never had a connecting flight before so worrying its going to be a right pain

Who are you flying with? Not the same route onwards but we had a flight Man -Lhr connecting onwards... we made the flight our luggage didn't. The flight from Man was very late, we had to run through LHR to our flight and just made it. Thankfully same terminal so I'd look into that and check you have a decent amount if time at LHR.

We’ve did Manchester to Miami via Heathrow with BA last year.

Very straight forward. Easy to change terminals using their internal buses. Everything easily sign posted. Made our connection in plenty of time both ways.

We’re doing the same route this year.

with BA then its a doddle you arrive in T5 and will depart T5, so just get off and monitor the boiards for your gate, likely to be a B or C gate so you get the shuttle train

its simple & quick

done a couple connectors with BA, it's not too bad if it is the same Terminal.
Man - LHR can be delayed and if there is not enough time, a flight is easily missed, they will bump you off like they did with us, even though, we made it to the gate in time.

How long is your connection time?

You need to check BA are operating both flights and they are not code shares. If so, you could need to change terminals. Not an issue, just takes longer.
