I fly whoever is cheapest, which is nearly always Etihad, but I have flown Malaysian/Emirates too, no big enough difference to not just go cheapest.

Agree above. We flew United via California but that was because it was the cheapest at the time and also because we could then stop in Disney on the way and San Fran on the way back.

I always go for price.

We use Singapore Airlines. Their service is excellent.

When I look skyscanner most seem be through HK, Singapore etc. For via Cali how did you find

We originally planned to go via HK etc but 10 years ago (omg its that long) when we flew, the cheaper prices were via the US. The very cheapest were via Canada but we wanted LA and San Fran there and back.

It was weird it worked out like that as we were planning a stop in HK Dinseyland.

We flew in November with Singapore Airlines, going Heathrow to Singapore then onto Australia. Flights were fine but food was just ok, I think there were only two options for breakfast and one of those was noodles.

I've used both Qatar and Etihad. Both were really good and definitely better than Virgin or BA i my opinion.
