Ticket Prices Skyrocket (between 15%-30%) as Disney Prepares for Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge

Though Walt Disney World typically raises prices on tickets every February, this year, the shortest month on the calendar came and went without a price hike. However, now that we've passed the announcement of the early opening for Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge, prices for single and multi-day tickets have gone up..

Note... These are for USA base tickets etc.. But could have an impact on UK sold tickets in time

Bob iger said this would happen back before Christmas when he said he wanted peak pricing . It’s inevitable really . How else do they control the crowds ?

I really don’t think that the price hike will affect the crowds. We all have a moan about the price increase on here, but would it stop us booking a holiday, no.
I had to laugh the other day on a live podcast on YouTube, DIS I think with Pete Warner. They moaned about the price increases as a group and then in the next breath Pete said that he’d already booked a VIP tour for opening day at Galaxies Edge for both Disney Land and World.

Like the OP, I’m also surprised the tickets weren’t increased before the Galaxy’s Edge announcement back in February.

Although the title is a bit misleading. Some of the tickets have increased by 15-30%. Some haven’t increased at all. It’s only the peak ticket prices that have “skyrocketed”.

Also of note, Water Park Annual Pass have gone up by $9. Other Annual Passes haven’t changed in price.

Oh and these ticket price increases won’t affect UK ticket prices which are priced separately/differently.

Seasonal pricing, including higher prices at peak times, was introduced back in October last year.

These recent changes do increase the difference in price between peak periods and value periods. Value 1-day base tickets haven’t changed in price whereas the Peak 1-day base tickets have increased by $30.
