I’ve done Dubai for the weekend to surprise my brother on his 40th, only an hour or so less flying. It was more than worth the money and time.

Yes I would - we did! We flew to Chicago to see our daughter run in the Chicago marathon - wouldn’t have missed it for the world.

I have kids (and a child in music). If the band is also performing in Europe (where you can see them more easily presumably)... then no. Fly all that way for only one day? Sounds tiring and expensive.
If I could go for a week and have some other fun besides, then probably yes.

Yes as long as he was in agreement I'd fly over now problem. A great experience to remember - go for it.

We have done New York in a (long) weekend - arrived very late Thurs night and flew home in day on Monday. Almost just as far, almost same flight times and warmer. I'd say yes to anywhere to see my children do anything!

Did a 3 night break to Orlando in February - worth every second. Do it!
The weather messed out plans up a bit on day 1 (Sunday), but still got to SeaWorld once the rain stopped to hit the coasters. All day Monday on the coasters at SeaWorld, same on Tuesday until it was time to head back to our resort to shower, change & head to the airport. Was not a relaxing few days - but boy was it fun! Came home for a rest. |

In your circumstances, yes I probably would for the thrill of seeing him perform out there - but otherwise no.
We flew out to do 4 nights in New York on a long weekend once and that seemed too short, to us. Then again, people do go to Las Vegas for a long weekend and that's further, so everyone is different of course...

People at work do it all the time. In fact a guy I work with flies out to New York on Saturday and back on Sunday without taking any time off work.
