Magic bands before you go.
Has anyone ordered magic bands and got them shipped to you before the trip?
Did it make it easier for you?

I ordered bands from the US Disney store and had them shipped to Fairytaleshopper. They delivered to our hotel when we arrived.

Don't think they ship them to the UK, I'm sure I looked into it a while ago

You can buy them from shop disney US and get them sent to a US shipping company like myUS or shipitto and then get them to send it to you. An expensive workaround, but viable. I don't really think there are any perks of having them in the UK other then that you can have the feeling of putting it on early!
I don't think you can even get disney to send you your magic bands to a shipping company with your hotel booking because they use your billing address, which is obviously your UK one. Someone else might know more though, as I haven't booked through disney before. |

I think you are correct. Our 'hotel' bands were waiting when we arrived. The ones I bought and had sent to a local US address were from the Disney Store

Are you onsite? Just pick them up at check in . Uk guests can’t have them shipped . Offfsite just get them on your first park day , takes munites to link them .

Sorry I didn’t make it clear we are not staying onsite at Disney.
we just prefer to have the bands than worry about pulling out tickets for fp or photos etc. As for the issue of uk/us address my brother in law is a US citizen so that is not a problem. I just wondered if anyone had got them before hand than having to go out and pick them up/choose/setting up taking time out of your day Before going to the parks.

In that case, I had the exact same dilemma in Feb. I didn’t want to even have to enter the parks using our card tickets, I wanted the magic bands before we even entered.
We bought ours from MCO arrivals when we landed. Alternatively if you are offsite and not going through MCO you could always stop at a Disney resort and get yours there in their shop. Or buy it from shop Disney, just google shop Disney and I put magic bands- and have it sent to your brother in law. |
