Thanks Amy, you've already helped me with our trip later this month but this list is brilliant! We could be spending more time in San Diego than we had first planned

Hi Anne Not long now- down to two weeks until my trip. It almost feels surreal, lol. We've been planning this for almost 8 months. I'm pretty much sorted, all the reservations are set...just got a lot of last minute things to take care of around the house and a few things to buy.

Wow great list! We are planning a trip to California next year and was only going to do 2 nights in San Diego but after reading how much you can do we may have to stay for a few nights longer.

I have a question though, are there any restaurants you would recommend for a vegetarian? I'm veggie but the rest of the party are meat lovers.

Thanks

Hi Ariel. Most restaurants will offer a vegetarian option or two. Off the list I gave, Royal India has a lot of vegetarian dishes. Hash House a Go Go also offers a couple of dishes for veggies- I had dinner there last time with a vegetarian friend who loved the dish they tried. The menu there is very inventive, there is another one in Las Vegas that was featured on Man vs. Food (if you're familiar with that programme). But you should be able to find at least one or two vegetarian options on most restaurant menus. There are a couple of strictly vegetarian restaurants in town, not sure how the rest of your party would feel about that, but if you want the names, let me know.

Also, if you have been to Sweet Tomatoes in Florida, they have a chain of those in San Diego but here they are called Souplantation. Same chain, different name. There's something for everyone here. Here's a list of locations in CA- under San Diego, the location closest to downtown San Diego and places like the Zoo and Sea World would be the Point Loma location:
souplantation/locations/

Have a great time planning your trip, glad you're thinking of spending a little extra time here!

Thanks Netty! I hadn't thought of the sticky idea, let me know if I need to contact anyone to ask too.
