A level results day looming

Not good here - UCAS unsuccessful for Bath.

Got offer from safety, but does not want to go there. Waiting results to see if it is worth badgering...

My son won't log in to UCAS as he wants to collect his results first. His appointment is 10.15 so we have a long wait.

DD has to pick results up from school. Her slot is 9.15. She’s pretending to be chilled about it but I know different. Just want to know now.

Stage one complete. DD happily got into her first choice at York. Results next in an hour. Good luck everyone.

Dd did well and got into her chosen university,so pleased for her,but will miss her when she moves to Scotland 😥.Ds16 has his results next week

Still waiting here in Wales too - DD couldn’t get on the UCAS site so has gone straight to School for her results. She has had a text from her first choice Uni saying Congratulations on getting a place but until its confirmed and we see the results we aren’t celebrating just yet! I cant stand the suspense here...

Woman from UCAS on the radio is claiming it crashed as so many more people are logging in than other years , not sure why that would be the case. The same number of candidates as last year surely ?
Some real horror stories on LBC an AAB prediction , getting AAE and independent candidates (home schooled) so no predictions are apparently completely stuffed with no results .
Sympathies to all parents this year, a normal A level results day is bad enough but this is horrific for many.

When the dust settles it’ll be interesting to see what grades Unis actually accept compared with what they say they will offer on .
31% of grades adjusted down sounds awful, surely unis will take this into account when making offers to those who didn’t get the required grades?

At school now, A*A*A & A. Just got the email from Oxford welcoming DD to the University.

Happy is an understatement
