Cancelled for September 21
After much thought and consideration I have contacted Virgin Atlantic this morning and cancelled our flights to Orlando in September.
It's a combination of things. The uncertainty with covid, the tests along with isolation hotels and the parks reducing parades fireworks etc and wearing a mask in high humidity. Tbh I just can't see it getting better this year. I also think that if holidays before September ie June, July and August start to be cancelled either due to FCO guidelines or customer concerns this will put extreme finical pressure on the airlines making it harder to get your money back. This is my view only and others may have a more optimistic outlook but I can only gauge on the information given by the government and know first hand the effects of covid having had the illness myself and lost my father in law to it in October last year If the situation eases and I was incorrect with my choice I can always book again. |

We’ve cancelled July too. It’s just the uncertainty will we get won’t we get & then to wear masks in the heat. I’m waiting to book for next year when prices come out, this will be our 4th move🥲

Booked for August, can't see us going, is it better to change booking and take a hit or wait til it is cancelled to save the amendment fee... Assuming it will be cancelled.

I think with parks as the focus it makes perfect sense. It’s a lot of money for a diminished experience.

I haven’t booked flights for our rearranged September trip as I also don’t think we will go. If necessary I’ll suffer the £200 hotel cancellation. I am not going if the parks are only semi performing so to speak and we have to wear masks.
