I have the same concerns with 3340 dollars in cash from our twice aborted 2020 vacation!

Apart from anything else, I always tip in cash.

We always have some left over when we return home. Just gives us a an excuse to return.
Have around $1k which would have been used last year. Might top up as rate good just now.
Have always settled hotel bill with cash. Keep low denomination notes for tipping.

Actually I feel like it is more down to the value of the US dollar dropping. The US dollar is also dropping relative to my local currency, and just checked and it is also coming down over the last few months versus the Euro and Australian dollar.

Let’s see if it hits 1.42 today. It’s heading that way as I type.

Apparently according to the sites I have read anyway, GDP is gaining on the market assumption that we will now recover well with the vaccine roll out and unemployment was in line with expectations as well. True that USD also seems to be softening.

I intend paying a chunk of my DVC dues for 2022 today. Forward planning.
