Dilemma with 2 week tickets
We always go for 3 weeks and have always bought the 3 week Disney ultimate. This means we get to go the first day and last. Now that Disney don't appear to be bringing back their 21 day tickets, not sure what to do. What do others do who have bought 2 week tickets but go for 3 weeks?

It might be a good opportunity to try something different
for example 1 week universal (or one week as a staycation) and 2 weeks disney or, if they don't come up with 21 days tickets, get 2 sets of 14 days tickets ... and price that up against annual passes. from my very own perspective, we like to take it easy on week one of a 3 weeks vacations, so that's no parks for us it's quite relaxing but, if you're absolutely positive you need 3 weeks in the parks, it will definitely bring the price up, as you'll need additional tickets, or annual passes. those are the 2 options I can see - spend 1 week doing "something else" - suck up the sticker shock |

Are you just wanting Disney? As if got Disney and Universal the activate different times so you could do Disney first part of holiday and Universal back end and have week in middle can do both!
I cant think how you could stretch 2 weeks tickets to 3 weeks for just Disney. |

Hi
We get two week tickets and go for three. We like to have the last few days at universal, so this year we're at a villa for 17 days and will do the two weeks of Disney then (with some days off, not solid disney) and have booked a universal hotel for the last 4 nights (and tickets). We don't do Disney on the first day - we usually do Disney springs, shopping at walmart and relax at the villa pool, ready to go the next day. We love going for three weeks just the right amount of time to have the odd day or half day off from the parks. When not at the parks we might go shopping in the malls for a couple of hours or go do the Disney mini golf, then relax by the pool. Edited at 10:46 AM. |

We did a week elsewhere before we started the tickets. Our first day was by the pool, then we did Disney springs followed by a few days at universal. It was a really relaxing start to our trip.

So even with 3 weeks we've never struggled with a 14 day ticket. We tend to spend the first few days relaxing shopping etc. Then start the parks and use the ticket over the 15 day period its valid for (you can only do 14 days but it used to at least last for 15) then do a few relaxing days at the end or even Universal / Seaworld to fill the days
We've also done it the other way with Universal at the start and then Disney

When we went for 3 weeks, we did the same as others and started at universal. You could always end your trip with a few days at a beach resort, no extra tickets needed then and a lovely relaxing way to end the holiday.

Thanks everyone. We do have Universal tickets too, thanks for your ideas, maybe we should take it a bit easier this time. Just wish we didn't have to choose, really sad they've stopped the 21 day tickets.

Your options are:
1. Get a 14-day ticket and either start your visit to Disney a week later or finish a week earlier as others have suggested, 2. Get an Annual Pass (if available), 3. Get two tickets - for example, a 14 day ticket for the start of your holiday and a 1 or 2 day ticket for the end, 4. Hope that Disney reinstates 21-day tickets. Personally, I never had a need to do Disney on both my first and last days. Mind you, on our first few visits, we only had 5-day or 7-day tickets. Things like 14-day and 21-day tickets are fairly recent (sort of).

I'm wondering what is their rationale for removing the 21 day ticket. They must know lots of UK visitors come for three weeks, they can't expect people to buy a 14 and a seven day pass or an AP. They are losing park expenditure when people visit for another couple of days with the 21 day pass, strange decision.
