Day 10, part 2

So after waking up from a nap and feeling pretty rough we scrapped our plans for the cheesecake factory and decided to head to Disney Springs instead.

Having the boat transportation more or less right outside our room is so handy and one of the reasons we love this resort.

When we arrived at Springs there was a Latin American band playing on stage opposite World of Disney. There were lots of people up dancing and the atmosphere was buzzing.

We weren’t in any rush to eat so decided to grab a drink each and watch them.

DH had a beer from one of the carts nearby -

Total $12.

I was going to try a snoothie from Joffreys but despite it meant to be open until 11pm and there being a light on there was no one there serving. I noticed it remained the case for around 25 minutes until someone appeared.

I ended up getting a frozen strawberry lemonade from the pretzel stand next door -

Total - $9.32.

We sat and listened to the band for around an hour in total. Lots of people were up dancing all following a routine to each of the songs. It looked a lot like line dancing but with more flare and shaking of the hips!

When the bank finished for their second break we decided to head to Blaze for something to eat.

We both had the create your own pizzas. I had red sauce, mozzarella, chicken, red onion, peppers, mushrooms and fresh basil on mine. It was finishing with bbq glaze.

DH also had create your own with spicy meats I believe -

We also ordered a cheesy bread although only had two fingers from this -

Total with a draft beer and water came to $44.36.

I only ate half of my pizza and we had most of the cheesy bread leftover so we have boxed them up and they are in the fridge now. I love the little takeaway boxes -

That’s it for day 10!

I’m so glad we went to Disney Springs, we loved cheesecake factory but the portion would have been too big. Plus it was nice to just sit for an hour and listen to the music and people watch.

The plan for today is Animal Kingdom for Y&Y lunch to finish off our vouchers. We may swing into Hollywood Studios if we feel up to it for that last game on TSM.

Tomorrow is our last day here and we are at MNSSHP on the evening so have a chilled day planned beforehand.

Thanks for reading and to those who comment, thank you!

Looks like you had a lovely birthday! Now that you’re 40 you will need to nap more 😂.

I share your love of DS, it is lovely to sit and listen to all the music. We have been a few times around Christmas and they sometimes have local school choirs singing 😊
The food from Blaze looks tasty and very reasonably priced.

Day 11

Hello from the Caribbean Sea!

Sorry for the lapse in updates… I really don’t know where our Disney days went - it was the fastest 13 nights ever! We blinked and have already also done a night and almost a full day on the cruise.

Anyway, back to day 11.

The plan was Animal Kingdom and Yak and Yeti again to use up the last of our Landry vouchers.

As we didn’t visit Hollywood Studios last night we also planned to hop there just to ride TSM again before eating out at Texas Roadhouse tonight.

We had half a pizza and almost a full garlic bread in the fridge which we ate in bed for breakfast.

Yummy as ever! There’s something so nice about cold pizza 😋

We packed up most of our cases and decided we did need to buy another case so we planned to do that last before Texas.

We got into Animal Kingdom at around 11am and headed straight to Starbucks where we each had a strawberry acai refresher.

Total $11.27. We were still using the last of our credits.

I had decided my favourite Disney cookie was the classic Disney cookie especially from Animal Kingdom so I picked up two from the shop near the Safari.

Total $10.83. I ate the first on the bus to Hollywood Studios and the second yesterday on the balcony of our room on the cruise. It was still good despite being a few days old.

We rode dinosaur for the final time, FaceTimed my parents from Dino land and then headed to Yak and Yeti for lunch.

We flashed our Landry card and were told there was a 20 minute wait rather than an hour. We did wait the full 20 minutes and then were taken to a room downstairs next to a window although the view wasn’t great it was looking over the stroller parking!

Our waiter was Jesus, he was efficient and friendly.

DH had an Amber safari ale and I had the same Shanghai lemonade with passion fruit.

DH decided to try the Korean beef I had the last few times and I asked the waiter for his recommendation between the honey chicken and the teriyaki chicken. He recommended the teriyaki so I went with that.

Our food seemed to take a while to come out today but it just meant we were more ready for it.

DH enjoyed the beef, he said it was tasty and he would get it again.

I also enjoyed the teriyaki chicken, not sure if I just hadn’t read the menu properly but I didn’t expect a piece of chicken I thought it would be diced.

I liked mine but think I preferred the beef.

Total came to $81.45 and we had $42.31 left on our lands vouchers. We left $55.43 including tip.

Another great meal in Yak and Yeti. Landry makes it so easy to get a table and the food and service has always been great. Would highly recommend.

I decided I wanted a night blossom for my dessert as it was my last chance to have one so we made our way over to Pandora.

Total came to $7.23 and it was worth every cent, I think it’s my favourite drink in Disney.

We were lucky with the buses and didn’t wait long for our direct bus from Animal Kingdom to Hollywood Studios.

We literally went in just to ride TSM (I won this time so 1-1) and then left.

We chilled in the room for only around 30 minutes before getting ready and heading to the shops to look for a case.

We visited the shops near Cheesecake Factory Vineland and checked Ross Dress for Less, Marshall’s and Burlington, settling on a Wrangler hard case from Burlington which I think was around $60.

From there we headed to the outlets as we wanted to call into Sketchers and Under Armour one last time, although we didn’t buy anything from either. DH picked up a couple or shirts from American Eagle and I picked up some accessories to put away for Christmas presents for only $2.99. I also picked up a spirit jersey from Character Warehouse.

We headed to Texas Roadhouse taking a slight detour to the wrong one, but I signed up for a table en route so we got seated as soon as we arrived around 9pm.

We were given a table for 8 for just the two of us which seemed a waste, but our server was very friendly and efficient.

We had two lots of the delicious bread rolls, they are sooo good - I could literally just eat those all night!

DH ordered a blue moon and had a second during the night and I had strawberry lemonade (free refills) and had a couple during the evening.

No starters for us today, we filled up on the rolls instead!

We both chose rib eye, I had baked potato and Caesar salad as my sides and DH had fried and corn.

The meal was so delicious. The rub on the steaks is so tasty and we love to atmosphere. It felt like all locals in there, but it wasn’t too loud, just lots of people having a great time. I think it’s our favourite off site restaurant.

Total came to $77.17 but left left $95 as had really great service.

A fantastic day, however, again one that went so quickly!

I’ll write up day 12 tomorrow as the internet on the ship isn’t very fast so it’s taken me a long time to upload the photos (I haven’t uploaded the menu ones I took as too many).

Thanks for reading 👋

What’s not to love about breakfast pizza! 😋 You did well with your lunch at Y&Y, I love the reduced wait times. What a bargain suitcase, the last time we looked at the Outlets they were double that. 😬 Texas looked great, that jacket potato is huge. 🤩 I hope you are having a great time on the cruise. Xx
