Lanyards - Gatwick to MCO and return

I was just wondering, I know you can get lanyards at Gatwick for those who need help (dd has asd and spd So thinking of getting one for the airport), do you keep the one that Gatwick gave you while you go through mco immigration? Then do you keep it for your return journey or does it not work like that?

Yes it's yours to keep. We still have our Grandson's from 5 years ago and still use it every year.

If you email they will send one out for you. We needed to do that as wasn't sure he would wear it straight away.

He wouldn't travel without it now.

Ohhh i didn't think they'd let you keep them, I assumed that you handed them back when you left the plane!

Not quite true anymore. Gatwick has stopped sending them in advance. Heathrow however still do and they are the same ones just with a card attached saying Heathrow (Gatwick doesn't have a card).

Oh right OK their website says they no longer send out in advance you need to pick up from the airport. Strange that they sent it to you as definitely said no to me about 4 weeks back. I guess it depends who answers the email

I emailed them the other day about it and they said you get them at the airport, and they gave the location aswell so I'm guessing they no longer send them out

This was my understanding. As said though Heathrow does and they are the same lanyards so if you really want one in advance you could just contact them instead?

It's Ok, it's not important that we have them before we go it just would have been handy and one less thing to do in the morning that we fly! Thank you though for your suggestion!
