DLP - Is Kyriad Hotel now called Campanile Val de France?

A few days ago I was told that DLP was adding new hotels, so I checked the list of SatNav POIs that I created for myself in March 2018 for Disney branded and partner hotels.

I found a new partner hotel (to my list) called Campanile Val de France and also that the Kyriad Hotel (a partner hotel) was missing.

When I investigated further on the official DLP website, I found that the URL link to the DLP partner hotel Campanile Val de France actually has the text Kyriad in it:

[Sorry, I attempted to place a link at this point to the Kyriad Hotel on the official disneylandparis website but as a new member I'm not allowed to post URLs to other sites]

If you look at the Disney map, there's a pin balloon labelled Campanile Val de France, but the map also has the hotel labelled as Kyriad Hotel.

So, has the Kyriad Hotel been renamed to Campanile Val de France, and if so does anybody know when and why this happened?

Many thanks,

Yes it has been renamed, Superbreaks and other websites have it renamed but state it was formerly the Kyriad.

Hi RM2016,

Many thanks for the very quick reply.

I'll rename it in my POI list to:

Campanile Val de France (formerly Kyriad Hotel)

I've googled Campanile Val de France / Kyriad Hotel and can't find any information as to when or why it got renamed. I think that Kyriad is a chain of hotels and that this one might have been sold off.

Thanks,

Campanile are a reasonably good budget chain similar to Ibis. I have stayed at several Campanile hotels in France and Germany and they are basic but clean and safe.

I would still prefer the Val d’Europe hotels as I don’t like to depend on shuttle buses. The Val d’Europe ones take 5 min on the RER, just one stop. We have left the park at closing time and been walking into our room at the Elysee 15 minutes later.

Thanks for the explanation about the Campanile chain of hotels.

Yes, I agree about the Val d'Europe hotels. We haven't stayed at the Elysee, but we have stayed twice at the nearby Ibis Hotel, Marne la Vallée Val d'Europe once we took the train and the second time we drove. The Ibis is a basic hotel but really it's all you need (bed and shower) when you visit DLP and it's just 100 metres or so from the train station.

Mind you, we did treat ourselves on our third trip to DLP and stayed onsite at the Disneyland Hotel in Castle Club (and again drove there).

Campanile and Kyriad are both part of the Louvre Hotels Group.

So they have decided to rebrand this one for one reason or another.

Don’t know why they decided to rebrand, But the partner hotel bus had a sign on last week saying it changed names on 1st April.

Thanks for the information that Campanile and Kyriad are owned by the same group, i.e. the Louvre Hotels Group.

Many thanks for that. I updated my SatNav POIs on Monday 8th April 2019. That's weird but also lucky that I decided to check my list of DLP branded and partner hotels so soon after the Kyriad changed its name to Campanile Val de France.

Still doesn't explain why the hotel changed its name, but I guess it made enough sense for somebody to do so and to pay the costs involved.
