Advice on Tickets
We will be going for 2 weeks & plan on doing both Universal & Disney. Our children are older so will probably enjoy Universal rides more than Disney so we were planning on buying the Universal/Disney combi ticket but looking at 2020 prices they are eye wateringly expensive So my question is are they still good value for money or would we be better looking for cheaper options? Also do you shop around for the best deals or always stick with tried & trusted retailers?

How many days are you thinking of spending at the Disney parks and at the Universal parks?
If you only want to visit either Disney or Universal on 2/3/4 days, then it can be cheaper to get tickets for just those days, especially if you aren't bothered about park hopping and only plan to do one park per day. UndercoverTourist and OrlandoAttractions sell these sorts of tickets, so have a look at their websites. For example, a 3-day Base ticket for Universal is 'only' £190 (instead of around £280 for the 14-day tickets). However, if you plan to spend a week (or more) at Disney and more than 4 days at Universal then the UK 14-day tickets are your best options - even if they are expensive. Otherwise, your only other option is to choose either Disney or Universal (or maybe Universal+Seaworld) and just buy tickets for that choice. Dropping Disney would save you over £400 per person.

I'm not really sure how much time we'll want to devote to each park. Our first trip was in 2002 when we did both Disney & Universal & we went again in 2008 & just did Disney, so it's 17 years since we've been to Universal. I think your right the 14 day ticket, despite the expense, will be the best option for us as it'll mean we can spend more time at Universal if we want to. Thanks for your reply

If you decide to buy the Disney & Universal Combo I think the best price at the moment is floridaescapes.co.uk £677 adult, £649 child. Link below. I think you would need to pay in full at the time of booking to get this price although you could try and see if one of the other companies will price match and let you pay a deposit.
