It is seriously good fun and even though we looked like a relatively boring middle aged couple, I got chased by a chain saw wielding killer person [/QUOTE]
Haha, that made me laugh. We are just not horror fans in this household. Not really into the being scared whilst walking around a house kind of thing... But I will appreciate seeing the decorations, the scare actors in the scare zones and just feeling like its Halloween ... But we all agree, there is only one reason why we forked out for these tickets: Stranger Things ... We recently took her to Paris as a birthday treat because two of the actors were doing a convention... was an amazing event... but with season 3 coming out in July, her obsession is not slowing down and I promised last October that if they brought it back this year, we'd fit it into our itinerary

One other option worth thinking about is Scareactor Dining. We have done this 3 times now and each time, when we have finished our meal, we have been escorted to the front of the line of the headline house (American Horror Story twice and Stranger Things last year).
The dining experience costs around $50 a head, but if you have to eat you may as well have fun doing it then get a perk when your done. |

Are you just doing Universal the day of HHN ? Makes it a very long day and of course you get reduced time, due to HHN.
Personally I'd be tempted to look at forgetting the day and booking the VIP tour. It's not a lot more than the day pass and you get free VIP parking, a buffet meal before you start and real front of line rather than a fast pass (they stop the line to let you in), so you see all houses and the show and still have time for a few rides. The tours have start times from 18.30 normally. |

I will look into it... it's just that we are not massive horror fans and I am worried we won't care much for the other houses... but once the passes go on sale I will definitely look into it again ... Thank you.

To be honest nor am I, but my DD is. I don't think I'd ever do HHN without the VIP tour to be honest. It takes about 4 hours and you are in a group of about 8 people. The tour guide tends to have loads of additional information on the houses etc and it is very informational and enjoyable (Example: The pumpkins you see in the park are done by the children of the cast members . Discussions on IP and needing to change at the last moment etc or IP holder wanting changes because of ...)
I went on the last night 2 years ago (last night of Bill and Ted) and all houses were over 2 hours and express passes about an hour, but we wre escorted to the entrance and went straight in. Didn't find it scary as still a conga line, but on reflection it was an enjoyable evening. |
