Mri

DD had her 6monthly MRI today of her head and back, her first planned one without an anaesthetic, and despite a few worries (that she would miss pulled pork at school dinner time!), all went brilliantly, she kept so still for an hour! She made the radiographers laugh as she hopped on the bed, as they said people having scans are not usually as agile! Just got to wait a week or so for results. Local MDT is tommorrow but doubt they will discuss it then, plus it usually goes to Bristol first.

DD scan results were all good and showed no changes. Sadly her insurances we had previously have come to an end, i tried to do another one, which came up 'not able to insure you at this time', so wont be looking at another trip anytime soon. THis year she will be two years out of her most recent diagnosis, but as its pre existing will still need to declare it. Although she is medically stable, the questions dont really give you the option to explain. Looks like hours on the phone for me to find something.

Great news about your daughter’s scan.

It’s a shame about the insurance, good luck with the telephone calls and I hope that you get a new insurance set up soon.

Excellent news, so pleased to hear it and she was so brave at the scan.
Just sitting here at the hospital waiting for hubby to go in to have a follow up PET scan. Let's hope we get the same good news as your daughter.

So pleased it went well. How annoying about insurance, get yourself settled with a cuppa and some chocolate and give the insurance company a ring. X

That's great news about your daughter's scan, you must feel very relieved. I always have to phone and discuss insurance as DD had lymphoma age 4. The standard questions even on the insurance sites that specialise in medical conditions don't cover her circumstances so I find it's better to call. Time consuming but hopefully you will find a company will help if you call.

Well done to your DD for staying so still. I struggle to stay still for mine & that's as a adult. She's a star.

It has taken a long time, she used to have an GA, as she has been having them since she was under a year old, every six months. She was starting to steuggle with the GA and feeling woozy, last time she had a meltdown before going in and they had a cancellation after her time slot, so told her she could try without GA, she done it so well, i am allowed to stay with her, she literally doesnt move, which i cant believe becaus at home she is a fidget! Every now and then she "practices"at home, laying still listening to music!
