Gift Ideas for US Penpal
I'm hoping someone will have a good idea, as I'm having trouble.
DD has a penpal who lives in NYC. The penpal is a 7 year old girl. We're going on a Disney Cruise next month, and the two will get to meet up (never met before). DD wants to get a gift for penpal. Must be reasonably small (luggage space), and not crazy amounts of money. Something Disney related or something only available here, or UK based items? Any ideas will be very greatly received. |

I have a long time friend who lives in West Palm Beach, I always bring her chocolate buttons. They were her absolute fave. Remember USA chocolate is very different and quite disgusting (some brands), so a good selection of british chocs & sweets wouldn't go a miss.
Perhaps a diary for the cruise? |

Buy both girls Best Friends t-shirts and necklaces.
If the penfriend is also going on the cruise, matching Disney sumner dresses, H&M generally do them at a reasonable price. My girls loved buying matching gifts for their best friends. Enjoy your cruise. |

Certainly it has to be something British, the US penpal can get Disney stuff themselves in the US if they wanted it.
UK chocolate is always a good option. The thing that older US friends of ours really go nuts over is royal family memorabilia (like mugs etc) Probably not a great one for a seven year old though |

What about an English recipes book aimed at children?
Chocolate? London bus/phone box? Paddington or winnie the pooh bears or/and books? My daughter loved doing Osbourne sticker books at that age, you could buy a Victorian clothes one? Doll house one? (Loosely based on princess?) |
