San Antonio is beautiful, we stayed in Hill Country but had a car so drove around quite a bit...we went horse riding in Bandera, to the Farmer's Market at Pearl, walked along the Riverwalk from Pearl to Downtown...they have motorised scooters in SA now so we spent a fun hour zipping about on them too.

It's so hot...I was completely unprepared for the heat and humidity!
We did consider driving straight to SA from Houston after landing but OH drives over there and he doesn't always sleep well on the plane. So, after being up since around 2.30am, a long flight and driving an unfamiliar route, we felt was too much and we would set off early the next morning.

If that's what you like to do, there's nothing at wrong in it. No doubt OH wishes he didn't have to put up with my idiosyncrasies. He's the party person in our house!
