Disney hotel and Universal Hotel?

Hi All

We want to stay onsite at both Disney and Universal to make use of the early hours...

We only need maybe 3 days in Universal, but do you think it'd be cheaper to do a week in both?

I guess I don't know if the hotels are done on a weekly basis or per night...

Thanks!

Universal has a deal where the longer you stay the less you pay per night, so I would definitely advise getting quotes for variable length stays - 3, 5 and 7 days should cover it.

Whilst you may only be spending 3 days in Universal itself, you can take advantage of the facilities in the hotel, relax at the pool, and maybe do a few different things in the Orlando area. Imo, you get a higher quality of hotel at Universal than you do at Disney for the same price.

Of course, if you are hitting the Disney parks for 10 solid days and only using the Universal hotel as a base, it may just be better to stay at Disney for all those days then do 3 Universal days.

If you do 3 days at Universal, I'd recommend Royal Pacific, Hard Rock or Portofino bay for the front of the line passes, they will change the way you tour the parks for the better. I'd even consider it for a longer stay as they are great to retreat to after a day in the parks and chill out.

Depends on how you holiday I suppose.

I'm hoping to do 4 nights at universal then 10 nights at disney
Starting at universal as its cheaper for the 1st night when we probably won't do much, then that gives us 3 whole days at universal then the last day can do a bit of uni in the am then go to Disney
hth
