CSR room availability with ddp

Hiya

I booked just over a week ago for 25 Sept 2020 for a week onsite at CSR in a standard king room.

I'm considering trying to move it a week to 2 October. Thinking of this purely because i've got myself all worried about love bugs and having gone at the end of Sept in 2010 and they were terrible then, i'm really thinking i've made a bit of an error.

Not sure if a week is going to make a difference but it does take us into October which I thought may help.

Thing is, there are only standard rooms with twin beds showing on WDW, do you think some king rooms will come available? I really want a king room with it being 2 of us.

Thought i'd give WDW a ring to see what they said, and no surprise, they said to just keep checking and its likely a king will become available. Guess i'll have to keep checking.

Do you think it would be worth shifting it a week re lovebugs are am i being stupid! lol not sure if it will effect my flight price or not, its outside of half term. Hmmm

Never been that bothered about the lovebugs tbh.
If it's any consolation a lot of the resorts last year, Deluxe wise, launched with limited availability, in a lot of cases Club! We booked AKL but wanted WL, got same advice as you " Just keep checking", I think we moved to WL standard around July/Aug

I stayed 13th to 27th September last year and didn't see any bugs and if there were any that I didn't see I didn't get bitten by them.

Love bugs don’t bite, they’re just annoying. They weren’t too evident late September last year. We’ve actually not been too bothered by them in recent years. Last time they were awful was way back in 2007 if I remember right. I think they’re usually going by the end of September.
