(Yet Another) Meal Plan Question
Hi!
So, I am debating getting the Half Board Plus meal plan for our May trip. Avios have offered us £70 off (we booked through them) making the plan £210 for two adults for 5 nights. I think it will be good value, but I would like you DLP experts to cast an eye over my Disney maths! It will cost (in GBP) £42 a day after the Avios discount. For example, eating at Walt's would cost 35.99 Euro each, so 71.98 Euro for two. According to xe.com, at today's rates this is £52.53 in "real" money(!). So a rough "saving" of £9.47 a day, not even taking into account the Pause Gourmande. We are looking at eating at Cafe Mickey, Bistro Chez Remy, Walt's, Annette's and one other. Thanks!

I should also add that me and the hubster will most definately eat all the food in a three course meal, so that is not an issue. We love our food!

I would. I liked not having to worry about finding money for meals. The fifty fifty burger at Annette's on the us voucher menu is gorgeous!
We really liked Agrabah buti heard it's going to be closing for refurb and might not be open when you're there. |

yep, in your case as you're not paying full price for it, and you know you'll get the full worth of the vouchers at the restaurants you're planning on eating in anyway, i'd say go for it .

The buffet places are kinda bad in my opinion, not good quality and i would have been gutted to pay out of pocket for them (we got our meal plan free in the package), so don't use your vouchers for them! But the full service restaurants are amazing! The food was spectacular, so seeing as you are getting a discount anyway, i'd say go for it
I really recommend silver spur steakhouse. I enjoyed it so much and would 100% eat there again, plus great service!

Thanks everyone for all your help! I'm going to add the Silver Spur Steakhouse to the list. Both me and the hubster love a steak!

Never done Silver Spur but it gets mixed reviews.
Best steaks I have had at DLP are Manhattan and Bistrot Chez Remy. Oddly, the one we had at the Steakhouse wasn't great, but others have had good meals there. Our favourites are Walt's, Blue Lagoon, Remy, California Grill. Had good meals at Yacht Vlub and Manhattan too. Annette's is great for a fun relaxed meal. Best buffet is the Inventions Sunday brunch. Eye-watering prices but oh, the fresh whole langoustine, parma ham, cheese board, iles flottantes, pit au chocolat ... and champagne included! Agrabah was pretty good too, nice middle Eastern food.
