I couldn't agree more about the southern option. Since I was last there the slip roads from the airport onto 417 have been improved and it is even easier than before and I am looking forward to "easing in" to Florida driving. I don't think I have ever used the beeline since the 417 has been an option.

Mick as always your advice is useful (As are th contributions from the other regulars) so keep an coming

There's also an expert Dibber who's probably driven twice as much as me but I'll spare his blushes. He always uses the 528 north to get to WDW property but if the I-4 is really nasty he uses Palm Parkway which is a pleasant alternative running parallel with the Interstate.

Driving - it's different for everyone, just take your time, get used to where controls are, and go carefully. You will be tired too, but no hurry.

PS: Cane Isand is fab!
That's very important advice about familiarising yourself with the car before you leave the garage. Sit in it for 5/10 minutes to make sure you know where the wipers are, lights, wing mirror adjustments etc. and, most importantly, where Magic 107.7 is on the radio.

The really sad thing is that they've dropped that annoying little girl ad "We wanna see ya in a Kia"

Amy Sweezy still does the weather though
