I usually print them if we’re all travelling rather than using the ones on my phone. Just find it easier, if it’s just me travelling then I will use the code on my phone as it’s only me to worry about, but find it a bit of a faff going through security & at the gate having to hand my phone over and then keep scrolling to the next pass. I check in online and print them out, no bother at all doing that.

the issue with battery running out happened to someone behind us in the queue for a easy jet flight and they were told they would not be able to board. Luckily I carry a battery pack and so lent it to them to allow them to bring up the pass etc to board.

As long as everyone in the group has their own phone then they are fine and I always use them. However if you have kids or someone else who has the pas son your phone, it can be a bit of a faff trying to scroll through and get the correct ones to show (I generally end up behind this type of person).

Also I often find if you are doing baggage drop the agent often does a paper one for you on autopilot anyway.

And yes as mentioned above if you are doing this you should have a power bank ideally anyway. But to be honest speaking for myself that's pretty much a travel essential now anyway and I wouldn't do a long haul trip without one.

This is the first trip I’ve used my phone and was very impressed with how easy it was to use. Probably worked quicker to scroll than them to turn through the pile of boarding passes

Used phone for our recent flights the other week - While i prefer phone boarding pass flying solo, with a family its slower to scroll, unlock, re load app when it crashes for all people..

i still got the boarding passes saved to phone but got paper ones too when doing bag drop

I’ve used mobile boarding pass before ( not ba though) it was such a faff! We’re a family of 5 so it just turned out to be a pain... I’m going for printed this time that way everyone has there own pass
