Hi
Could anyone explain this? Looking at booking flights for next year in Premium Cabin and if my party is 4, 5 or 6 in number the adult price starts at £240 return journey but if my party is 7 in number the price starts at £340 ?! When I looked this morning the price for a party of 7 was £240! So booking for 7 persons is £6019 but booking a party of 4 and a party of 3 is £5320! |

The more seats available the lower the price. So, booking that extra seat must be taking the price up to the next tier.

Spoke to them online and they said something similar. Its crazy that I can book 6 seats at one price then have to see what the 7th seat comes out at. Thing is it wasn't doing it yesterday when I looked. Price for 7 seats was same as six !

All airlines sell seats in buckets, once one bucket is empty then the next more expensive bucket comes available, as you found if there are not enough seats in the lower bucket the whole booking is priced in the higher bucket.
Lower buckets may or may not be released later, it depends on demand and how high a yield the flight is gaining. This is why asking questions like 'how much did you pay for a flight' is pointless, as there are just too many variables to get a comparison

I would book the 6 at the lower price and then take one at the increased price, act quick prices are only going to go one way.
