I assume the title 2020 prevails.

Booking a package or a flight? If the former can't help I'm afraid but scheduled flight are offered about 10 or 11 months ahead. BA approximately 300 days, VS about 330 days. These are from your return flights. TC are earlier but have limited service in November.

We haven't booked a package holiday since 1990 do it all separately now but there must be hundreds on here who do.

I'm sure they'll help.

We've already got quotes for August 2020 through Pillinger Travel, and that includes flying indirect. Worth contacting them.

I would advise strongly that you do not.

Flights are not scheduled until 11 months before , hotel bookings will not be taken and Disney prices and offers have not been decided.

Any quote you have will have "travel agency contingency" clauses in it so if prices go up or GBP crashes or fuel goes through the roof you have to pay more.

If the hotel is not available or the airline is not running the route you have booked they will not be liable.

In addition to this they woudl have already worked the most they think it will cost and added a bit more on top just in case.

We all suspect that there will be big changes at Disney from the end of 2019 when Galaxy Edge opens this years holidays in terms of prices/offers and availability may well be a poor yard stick from then onwards.

It may be worth booking a villa but over 2 years ahead I would not.

I woudl not book my flight before Christmas 2019 at the very very earliest .

I know that as soon and you plan to go its great to get on and books stuff but doing it too early will not give you either the best option or the best pricing I have booked 3 months before we went and got prices cheaper than people who had booked 10 months before. if I can get the holiday I want then its my aim to pay as little as possible so that I can make the best use of my funds and booking too far ahead is not the best way to do this.

Sorry, but just to correct you on one thing. The price quoted for our fly-drive is guaranteed. We asked for confirmation in writing (citing examples such as flights being more when released etc) of that and received it.

I hope you are right but I would be worried about T's and C's as you have on normal packages about fuel surcharges and also what happens if the airline does not fly the route or date that you have selected ?

Can I also ask what you have paid please as from all me research I can not see the advantage from doing this but would love to be wrong as I want to pay as little as possible .

Last year we booked I think in Feb for August three weeks fly drive to Miami with BA (AA) and ford edge for £1275 for 2a 1c which I could not get close to this year I think I was looking at around £1900 for 2 weeks. As a result we are not going we are going West in October instead booked the flights two weeks ago as Florida was too expensive.

thanks

No worries.
The quote we've had is £729 per person including an intermediate car with inclusive insurance. Based on the car hire cost this worked out at £630 for the flight. If we want a full-size car it is £750 per person. That is departing Manchester on 12th August, returning on 26th August. Airline to be confirmed 11 months from departure. We've not gone ahead and booked these yet but it was easily within what I was willing to pay (anything around £600 - £650 for an indirect flight in summer hols I am happy with)

Wow that is a good price I think last year we went earlier in August which was not our choice your dates are better but it was when the cheapest price was. My direct flight watcher on skyscanner I think is £536 today for direct from LHR but of course being able to fly from London gives you a lot of options and of course Miami is at last £100per person cheaper than MCO
