Mobile Liquids in hand luggage help

Hi
Im flying this time with children and wanted to make sure i had some calpol for them just incase they’re not well on the flight. Do i have to put 1 botte per 1 plastic bag or can 2 bottles plus my eye drops in one bag together as long as they’re all under 100ml?
Thanks

You can put multiple up to 100ml 'containers' per bag.

This is off the Govt website.

If you do take liquids in your hand luggage:

containers must hold no more than 100ml
containers must be in a single, transparent, resealable plastic bag, which holds no more than a litre and measures approximately 20cm x 20cm
contents must fit comfortably inside the bag so it can be sealed
the bag must not be knotted or tied at the top
you’re limited to 1 plastic bag per person
you must show the bag at the airport security point

Exemptions

You can take liquid containers larger than 100ml through security if they:

are for essential medical purposes
are for special dietary requirements
contain baby food or baby milk

Sorry to jump on thread and apologies to Tom but I’m hoping some of the ladies might be able to help.

I have been prescribed estrogel which is less than 100ml I think but the dispenser would not fit in the required size bag.

Is estrogel classed as an essential medical item? It is to me lol can I just take it in my hand luggage and place it in the tray in its box at security?

Thanks. I checked the gov website but missed the bit about being limited to 1 bag 😊😊

I had to Google what this was.

The key word is 'prescribed' therefore it will go through ok.

If it was an over the counter remedy I would say no.

I have seen huge bottles of medical stuff going through with no issues albeit they get examined carefully and people are asked to open them as well.

In your situation I would take a copy prescription from the GP as a back up. Proves the provenance of what you have been prescribed.

I took a massive dispenser of cream through for my granddaughters eczema, it was well over 100ml, but because it was prescribed (I had the repeat prescription for it) it was given extra security checks, but all was fine and it was let through.

To the op, I usually take Calpol sachets on the flight for my granddaughter.

Thanks I’ll make sure to keep it in the box with the pharmacy label and take prescription.

DH would not like it if I turn back into a menopausal ogre without it😂😂

I second calpol and nurofen sachets! So much easier than taking bottles and you can just pop them in your bag for the parks

I take sachets of calpol with me instead, I once took a bottle through, went to give my daughter soon and managed to spill the lot because I put it on the tray table without putting the lid back on properly, was a great time to hit bad turbulence & spend the next 3 hours with sticky medicine all over me 😂 lesson learnt and sachets all the way now lol
