Mobile ESTA error

Hi looking for some help, we (not me honestly) have incorrectly ticked the spent time in prison on our ESTA application. This is for a 1 year old infant, and of course it has been declined.

Is there any way of amending this?

Thanks in advance,

You will need to contact them I think so they can sort it, I'm sure there won't be a problem unless you have a very naughty baby 😂

cbp.gov/contact give them a call

I was under the impression that the only time they can reset an application is if the question about mental illness is answered wrong, but hopefully they can reset this for you

You could try emailing too with as much detail as possible, including the ESTA application number: https://help.cbp.gov/app/ask

The only time they can reset the application usually is if you answer the question wrong about diseases (so many do). Then you can reapply in 24 hours. In fact it technically doesn't need to be even reset )happened to us).
A few who wrongly ticked the overstayers box have had that reset, because the authorities can actually check their records.
Usually wrongly declaring a prison sentence is no chance. You have to apply for a visa.
Whether they'll make an exception because a 1 year old obviously hasn't been to prison I'd be interested to hear. I suspect not, because my suspicion would be it was mistakenly ticked on the child's thinking it was one of the adults, but hopefully they'll make an exception.
Be prepared though- visa route it may be. How long is it until you travel?
Please report back and good luck. It can easily occur because scrolling down can change the boxes if you are clicked on one- they told me this regularly happens.

I know this isn’t helpful to the OP but may reassure people worried they may do the same thing. I accidentally clicked yes to one of the answers for my sister but it immediately flashed up a box asking if I was sure and I was able to rectify it. You then get to check your answers before you finally submit your application. So I made a mistake and had 2 opportunities to rectify it before my sister would have had to go down the visa route (and really would have because she’d have murdered me). My point is, these mistakes can happen but you can fix it before you submit if you just double check all your answers.

Thanks for the replies, hopefully we can sort it as we travel next Thursday. Wouldn’t mind but it’s a twin and the other one was submitted fine 😳
