Haha yes but we just lean against each other nowadays! (No hands were held during these escapades!)

We do when out on our own dogs and grandkids think different and want in between us
Frequently
I’ve told DH no mater if I end up in a dementia unit do t know who he is I still want
To hold his hand feel his touch
You have no idea how many residents in nursing and care homes just want someone to hold there hand in fact any kind of touch thats not just something that’s necessary for daily living
Some don’t can find someone in there personal space frightening
Me+I’ve got a limited circle who get in that space but after this shielding lark I’ve come to realise how much contact means

The only reason a man should hold his wife’s hand is so that he can make sure she can’t spend when out shopping ...

Based on some parts of this thread, I'm now starting to wonder whether MH was using the phrase "holding hands" as a euphemism.

Never held hands with my Ex, perhaps that should have told me something!
Been with DH 11 years now, we are both 59 and held hands from the start, not if we’re out walking the dog but if we’re going out for the night etc. Just feels right

I always hold hands with DH when we are out together. We are 50 years young and I cant imagine being with anyone but him.
Whilst I was shielding the only physical contact I had with anyone was him and it made me realise how important it was.

Tell that to the snowbirds !

Some people are tactile and some aren’t. Doesn’t have anything to do with age !
