Thanks for all the replies. Many places are full and not taking any more bookings On our days but managed to get Bubba Q and The Mariachi. Will jot down the other recommendations for future visits 😉

Sadly when I passed recently it looked like this has closed but not sure if it might reopen again.

I live in Edinburgh and still have one teenager left, my kids would recommend:
Pizza - Civerinos or our personal favourite is Origano on Leith Walk
Pasta - La Piazza on Shandwick Place
Burgers - Cambridge Bar on Cambridge Street
Mexican - Miro’s Cantina on Rose Street
Indian - Dishoom is good also Gautams but a bit further from city centre
Chinese - Kweilin or Karen’s Unicorn
Steak - The Chophouse
Hope you have a great time!

Local rumour has it they treated staff v badly during the shutdown and there has been some stuff in the press, may be related.

Interesting... I used to visit their cafe in Howard Street which closed a while back but the one in Frederick Street was always too busy. Hearing of how staff have been treated would definitely put me off returning if they did reopen!
Mimis Bakehouse in Edinburgh is great for anyone looking for a sweet fix!

Love Mimis!

Also Bibi’s bakery on Hanover (or Frederick, can never quite remember) Street do good takeaway cupcakes.

There’s also a Cuckoos bakery branch inside Debenhams I think.
