Yosemite area badly affected by fire - the National Park to be closed this weekend
I have been watching the information given by Cal Fire about the fires raging in the state along with those of Oregon. Yosemite National Park has been badly affected by the smoke and the NPS have said that this weekend the Park will be closed along with Kings Canyon and Sequoia Parks. The smoke has even travelled over the mountains and is affecting Death Valley NP too.

Yosemite National Park Service described the air quality as hazardous in their announcement - how sad for all concerned.
