Is the area at all dodgy or good?
Any road noise in rooms?
Just been looking.

It's a slightly grimier Leicester Square. Dodgy as in dangerous, no. But Hollywood Blvd around the corner is busy day and night, lots of tourists, those annoying people dressed up as characters, a few homeless people but nothing that would put me off staying there if the area is convenient. We were doing Warner Brothers, the hike up Runyon Canyon, a concert at the Hollywood Bowl and taking the subway across to DTLA so it was perfect location. The hotel has entrances into the mall (Highland) and the main entrance is on Highland Blvd so you could stay there and never see Hollywood Blvd if you wanted. We walked to The Hollywood Bowl and back (at 11pm), I walked to In n Out by myself at night. No issues except the crowds! No road noise from our room which looked out over the Hills. Hollywood traffic does actually stop around 8pm and when I was up in the wee hours with jet lag the road was deserted, I could have counted the number of cars that passed every hour on one hand. Huge big rooms, comfortable beds. Nice lobby with a coffee shop.

We stayed here back in 2018. Our room was on the opposite side to the Hollywood sign so our view was of the pool / shopping centre, I’ve added a couple of pictures below. Not sure which floor we were on but it was quite high so we didn’t hear any traffic noise at all. We’d definitely stay here again.
