The smell, the fairy wings and more - it really was back to our happy place and that home we crave for now

As a welcome home gets - today was a huge hug from those with the Ipads at the Yacht Club

What a lovely first day. Great breakfast to set you up at the Hilton before your journey to Orlando. Oh my goodness, that rain as you drove through the Disney gates Glad it cleared up for the boys to fit in a little pool time and ice cream before Epcot. Very nice, smooth process at check-in, just what you need. And of course, what you should expect at a Deluxe hotel. The Yacht Club looks beautiful, I would love to stay there one day.

Nice evening at Epcot - I love that "I'm here" moment and it sounds like you got that when you were walking around the World Showcase. Great spot for viewing IllumiNations - lovely photos and a great end to your day.

Hotel breakfast was excellent and I would recommend this place to anyone - the staff were great as was the food

As for the arrival at The Yacht Club- it was faultless and a huge step forward from POR in 2018

It is a place that we have similarly yearned to stay in - it is so close to Epcot that it makes it feel as if you are staying inside the park itself

No need for a car and World Showcase just a couple of hundred yards away - the adrenaline rush that brings is possibly indescribable , yet the reason we so much wanted to stay here.

Glad you enjoyed the photos - there will be many through out the whole report as I love taking photos and with phones to hand the boys have followed in that desire to capture the magic

Thank you for reading and such lovely words too, much appreciated

Firstly, I apologise for taking so long to get around to reading. I just have not felt in the right frame of mind. Secondly, I am almost certain you had a premonition of what was to come when you decided that last year was to be your final trip. Can you please foresee what is to come for us? Will we be put out of our misery soon!?

So happy to hear that the welcome at the Yacht Club was just as it should be. I am SO jealous you had such a long stay there. I was a bit of a sucker for the old décor in the rooms, but I must admit that your room looks so elegant. I am championing a Yacht Club stay next year but the rest of the ‘booking committee’ feels the price of the Dolphin more apt (they are not wrong).

Interesting to hear your thoughts on parking costs. We have decided to use the gift cards with our booking to cover parking so essentially considering it as still free for us.

We also felt that the merchandise across property was a bit lacking in comparison to previous years last year. Mouse Gear is our go to and if we can leave their empty handed, you know it’s a bad year for merch.

Can't imagine much better than being able to watch the fireworks and then stroll back to your lovely hotel.

That whole first bit -

I have struggled so much to actually get this whole trip report finished for the same reason.
Although, I am constantly reminded on our podcast that I must have seem 2020 coming!

For future trips I feel that costs of any hotels will be a huge deciding factor, they have costs to recoup, yet rooms to fill. It might be an interesting stand off to see who blinks first !

If I never get the chance ever again - that experience of being so close to Epcot and staying at The Yacht Club will be my most amazing moment.
That walk back from Illuminations is some thing special and will be for HarmoniUS when it starts
