in all seriousness though this is animal abuse & need to check this out... imagine if someone just abandoned a dog/cat when they moved house... its the same thing
Not for 4 weeks yet 😬

The living room smelt a bit strange today, not damp but similar.

I think I’ll speak to the estate agent about it, she’s been pretty useless though and seems not to want to bother the seller.

4 weeks could be in trouble by then i

fwiw a healthy tank should smell like fresh sea air... an unhealthy tank im sure you can guess...

there will also be massive evaporation from that tank in an assumed unventilated house ei/ no windows open etc so you could get damp issues internally

I'd be onto the estate agents first thing & make it a condition of sale

If you don't want the tank insist it is gone. You don't want the hassle of rehoming fish or disposing of a tank, even if it's worth ££££

That way if they leave it you can charge the cost to re-home/dispose of it.

You wouldn't take their other junk so treat this the same. Tell your solicitor and not just the agent.

That must have been an amazing tank when running properly
As others have said please get solicitor/ estate agent to check that the fish are being cared for. There’s certainly a few hundred pounds worth there

Sorry to crash the thread but I think
I recognise this house! I’m sure I’ve had a nosey at it online as it’s local to me and I recognised the fish tank 🙈 it’s a beautiful home 😍
